Meeting called to Order @ 12noon

(These totals include $120 for memberships & paid-outs of $560.84 for MRF conference, $208.00 for patches)
New Business:
NMMRO meetings will be held every other month during the summer/riding season
April through October, meetings every other month (skipping May, July & September)
October through April meetings will be every month
NMMRO Board Elections
Nominations for the following Board positions: Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms, Newsletter Editor & Interim Public Relations Officer were held. All of the Officers ran unopposed, so it was voted by the members that we have the election at the same time, following Robert’s Rules of Parliamentary Procedure.
These officers are as follows:
Vice chairperson-Courtney Farris
Treasurer-Patty Berry
Sergeant at Arms-Dave Covert
Newsletter Editor-Bev Covert
Interim Public Relations Officer-Ed Chaffee
Report on the Best of the West convention by Annette Torrez
One point that was emphasized in her report was a reminder to our members to report to the Board about being stopped & any incidents of being considered a gang. We really need this information when we go to Santa Fe & speak with legislatures.
Motorcycle Riders Foundation Representative: Dave Covert would like to fill this position for the state of New Mexico. Should he be elected, he will be stepping down as Sergeant at Arms to avoid any conflict of interest issues that could arise.
New additions to the newsletter: Beginning in July, we would like to add a “For Sale” section for motorcycles & parts along with a “Looking For” section.
Old Business:
Safety Awareness: we will be continuing this throughout the year. Steve Stucker from Channel 4 news has helped us with this by announcing on the morning news to please watch out for motorcycles.
Venue for NMMRO meetings: while we have received a couple of leads on places, we still don’t have a permanent place to hold our meetings. If you know of any place, please let a Board member know.
